I have been writing software since 2001.

The first system I looked after ran on SGI workstations along with some Solaris print servers for a flexo plate factory in Buenos Aires. It had to work every morning. If it did not, nobody could print anything that day. You learn quickly what matters in software when a whole workshop is waiting on you. That is why still to this day I think the two most important properties of good software are correctness and simplicity: doing exactly what it should, and being easy to understand and reason about.

Since then I worked on diverse systems: digital asset management, local reviews, online games, ticketing for a festival, ERPs, medical software, design tools at large scale. Worked in three countries in three different languages.
